Hi Guys and Gals, I have just received my follow up letter from my appointment on 24th Jan 2014. I have been on this game since 2009 and had all the usual stuff from Stem Cell Transfers to Velcade. I have never got below 2.9 Paraprotein, even after the SCT.

I have had 4 courses of Lenalidomide (revlimide) and to be quite honest whilst the Rev does not seem to give me much of a problem the Dex really plays havoc with my system. I started at 22.9 PP and it quickly went down to 3.9 and I was assured that it would probable plateau at that level.

I was amazed when I read my blood counts for the 24th: HB 108, WCC 4.0, Neutrophils 2.4, Platelets 207,

      Paraprotein not detected

, Serum free light chains kappa 19, lambda 18.

Real good stuff after nearly 5 years. Wow Wow Wow.

    Kindest regards – Vasbtye

Yahoo! Probably the best news you’ve had in ages. Hope you keep it up for a long while yet. Will they do a BMB to confirm?

I haven’t volunteered for a BMB 😉 The last time I asked about a BMB I was rather given the impression that the hospital does not really believe in them and tends to stick to Blood measurements. We shall see what happens at the next consultation.

I thought I’d been doing well with 2 years of a “bare trace” reading, but your results are terrific!

Well done. You deserve such good news.
