Yes – Sorry I should have said, You do need Adobe Flash Player. You can get it free on the Adobe site. It will download and install itself. Many of this type of programme are done in what is commonly known as "flash".

Eva, you always put me to shame, I have not ventured out into the snow yet.

Well, I say that we had a burst pipe last night. I thought I had switched off the outside water system but it seems the ball tap snapped as I turned it and I had not realized it at the time. The pipes were all in a box on the house wall and independently lagged inside…[Read more]

  • Hi all, I am, I think, recovering well at home now, discharge date 15th Dec. Taste buds have still not returned and everything taste foul (and I am being polite here). I had my first dinner for over 3 weeks yesterday (tea plate trick). But generally I feel as I expected to feel if you know what I mean.

I have been trying to find out…[Read more]

  • Hi Sharon, I was shocked to read your story. I thought an ALLO was the Gold Standard. I can offer nothing but my sympathy and hope that it is just a blip in a good recovery.

    Dear Dear Roz
I have been so wrapped in my own problems the last 3 weeks I did not pick up your post. I was so sorry to read your post, you have fought for so long and so hard for Michael. You are right to be by his side at the end, you of all deserve it and I know Michael will be much comforted by your presence.
All the very best to you and…[Read more]

  • Yes, thank you for the new site I personally much prefer it.

One problem: Am I the only one that has not yet worked out how to use the spell checker?? I cannot even seem to find one. Generally I type in Word and copy and paste!

  • Well you were dead right about the ambushes Dia. My white blood cell count took a bit of a battering apparently over the last two day but still holding up above .55. I totally appreciate the wonderful facilities I have at Musgrove Park Hospital, only bettered by the staff. The thought of three of you queuing for a toilet makes me smile (sorry…[Read more]

  • When I went into hospital for my sct a cousin from South Africa sent me an Africans word to use. It is "Vasbyte", it means bite hard. And if you you think about it really fits MM so well.

Hi Amelie, I have two separate skin conditions. I am in the middle of a SCT and have developed itchy spots on my chest and back. They are going to do a skin biopsy on me when I am well enough. Secondly, I have had a small area on each ankle which is itchy and red (about the size of a half crown) this has been there since I was on CDT and I…[Read more]
