    Hi All

I am very very pleased to say that my Mum came home last Thursday, she is doing soooooo well, to the point that the hospital have said not to go back for a check up for two weeks 🙂

The broken leg is obviously more of a issue at home, but other than that thankfully all the other problems seem to be disappearing.

The last month has been an absolute nightmare, but hopefully now we can look to the future and this will soon be a distant memory.

The most important person in my life is my Mum and all things crossed she will continue on this road.

This forum has been such a great support, I wish you all a very Merry Xmas and a very Happy & Healthy New Year!

Ah sorry, thought it would have been a coincidence.

Mum is ok, her bloods are brilliant (neutrophils 4.36, platelets 50, both white and red cells in range,) but having lots of additional problems failing kidneys (she has 3 stone of fluid!), broken leg and now an infection in her other leg! Along with the expected trots, sickness and fatigue. We just keep hoping it will all sort itself out very soon. She is very strong and determind, bless her.

Its three weeks tomorrow, but feels like three months 🙁

How are you doing? Did you have a SCT too?

    Kind regards

    Hi Wendy

I'm not sure I have the right person, so apologies if I havent, but were you in the MRI a couple of weeks ago, ward 44?

My Mum is currently in there and she mentioned a lady called Wendy who had chatted to her.

Sorry if I've got it wrong.

    Kind regards

Thank you so much Helen, I read your reply just before going to bed, which has enabled me to get a few hours of much needed sleep.

Mum's temp is just over 38 this morning, which is better but she is still shaking and sickly.

They have given her the platelets, so thinking these may help.

    Thanks again.

Thank you all so much for the wonderful support, it means a lot 🙂

Mum has been moved to a side room, as over the next few days her bloods will drop then they start the injections to release the cells from the marrow on Thursday. She also has a temp, so now on antiobiotics!

We do not know anymore about the black out yet, it may take an MRI scan to answer the questions.

But, considering what she has been through in the last week, she is amazingly chirpy and so strong, makes me very proud.

Thanks again for all your kind words.
