    Hi Debs

Hope you have told "them" about your suspicions of nueropothy as everything i have read, especially of US site, says tell folk soon as you might need to decrease dose.

PN is something I really worry about when I have to start treatment as I alreaady have some nerve damage.

Yes, I agree with you – use of PP numbers seems very…[Read more]

    I echo Debs' comments.

You must be feeling angry as well as overwhelmingly sad. Life does seem very unfair at times, and it seems so unfair that MM takes so long to diagnose.

Please be assured of my prayers too.

Hi Mark sorry to hear your dad is going through a togh time As others have said ringing the myeloma helpline will be helpful for you , they are very knowledgeable should be able to answer your questions The survival rate is a difficult one as we all react diffrently to our illness but I read recently that 4 to 5 years is now expected but of…[Read more]

Hi Ian I was told that any remission after the first one is always shorter. I dont think it makes any difference if you have complete or partial remission. There was a trial going on last year, sorry cant remember what it was called, to look at using velcade before the sct in the hope of getting a longer second remission.I will try and remember to…[Read more]

Dear Dai I know how devastating it is to be told the beast is back and it seems very unfair to have had a relatively short remission. Once treatment starts it becomes easier to accept and just get on with it Go and do something nice this week and put mm to the back of your mind for a while Love to you and Janet Bridget x
