    Dear Roz

I am so pleased that you have some good memories coming back.

It sounds as though you were very much loved

  • Tip for ranting Sarah.

Go for it with which ever unfortunate person you get on the other end of the phone. Just a few very angry always acceptable words and just do it.

Only a few seconds. Then take a deep breath and calmly apologise for ranting at that person. Explain that you realise that it is not their fault but you are so upset at…[Read more]

Thank you all so much for your good wishes it really is a boost. Stephen had the lump removed today. He had opted for having it done under a local rather than a general anesthetic.(Is the man mad as well as having mm?) The operation took about an hour and we won't know just what it is for about a week.

His neck is aching and very sore and he…[Read more]

Cheers for, and good luck to both Helen and Debs, I hope everything continues to go well.

As for hair It seems to be a riddle for women or is it just me? Nothing to do with medical treatment but the older I get the thinner the hair on my head becomes. My eylashes become thinner and thinner and as for my eyebrows???

Sooo how the heck do the…[Read more]

    Hi Aileen

I am sorry you find yourself using this forum. It is a huge shock to get the diagnosis isn't it? My husband has mm.

He went for Xrays as the orthopaedic surgeon he was referred to by our GP thought he had a trapped nerve. A phone call from the said surgeon at 7.30 a.m on the day Stephen was due to go back to get the results should…[Read more]

  • A very late welcome to both of you from me. Sorry for my tardiness but I have been a bit busy lately. It is my husband Stephen who is the mm person (diagnosed aged 53 in 2008)

You will find nothing but help on support on here. I am, like everyone else, just sorry that you had to join us.

I love being able to back track on this thread for the posts that I haven't had a chance to catch up with when, like tonight, I cannot sleep.

I could be quite evil and post an I hate thread >:-( !! I would be interested to know what others think. It could be fun if kept very light
eg Tina posted that she loved cute puppies. With tongue in…[Read more]

I do feel that we are back on the roundabout again.

From Stephen seeing his haematologist 18 days ago he has had a CT scan, an appointment with the radiologist specialist regarding his back pain, a further appointment with the haemotologist, and an appointment with the ENT surgeon regarding the lump on his neck. He is now going to have the lump…[Read more]

  • How lovely to find that this site is multilingual. I do realise that the swearing censor is a built in part of the site but I have been giggling by imagining a very tired, crotchety, elderly lady with a huge pile of grey hair on top of her head, pencils sticking out of this bird's nest of hair striking words out on her computer screen.

    Dear Sarah.

You are certainly going through the mill. I just wanted you to know that I am thinking of you.

    Love from Gill xxx

  • Took me ages to get this post on here. I forgot that the site won't let you talk about the hot place you go to that is the opposite of heaven:-/

  • I have not been in here looking at all the posts for a while and need to catch up with posts.

I am so glad you are feeling a bit better Bridget. It all seems to come in bursts doesn't it? Feeling unwell, treatment, feeling better, unwell again, more pills a bit of a break when all seems OK (heaven) and then it all starts again.

    So sorry Slim…[Read more]

  • HOODWINK

I have patted myself on the back for taking our minds off the dreaded mm with this silly game. Stephen's hospital appointment last night was fairly positive. (will post elsewhere over this.)

And PS to Roz you got it right but I think you made a typo with your alternative word. Did you mean seedling as in tiny plant?

    C'mon…[Read more]

It's the wee small hours and I cannot sleep. How the heck does Stephen sleep so peacefully when he has this horrid, horrid mm and I am the one that lays awake, gets up, makes tea (or worse a glass of wine) It's tea tonight.

Min I love all the things that you have mentioned. I too am lucky enough to be adored by a very special man who fights all…[Read more]
