Dai you have put all of that in an incredible way. I so hope that Min reads your message, and all of the other posts and stays in touch.

I feel that, although it is this b****rd illness that brought all of us together in the first place, we have all become friends. As well as discussing mm we go further. Whether it is stories of our children, grand-children, pets, annoying partners all sorts of things that are interesting, sad or funny.

If Min feels that she wants to walk away from mm I would understand completely. But if she decides to stay that would be great. After all I continue to need advice regarding my poopie:-)

    Dear Min

I have no idea of how you feel right now and for me to say sorry is pointless. I think that is a given statement anyway.

Please don?t leave this site. We all need people to ?prop us up?. None of us are so misguided to think that the ultimate end is not going to happen to us. I, for one, lay awake at night and try to believe that Stephen will be one of the ?luckies? who gets another 10 years. He?d be 66. OK 66 is not that old but hey!!.

You are right there is no part of this site for people?s loss. You ask why? Just maybe they need a ?Min? to start one. I am sure that it would be welcomed by all.

I am so pleased that you raised a tidy sum from the collection and hope that you stay on board with us all to carry on helping and supporting each other.

    With love from Gillxxx

    DETAILS

Off on a tangent in the early hours of the morning and seeing Roz's word JIFFY which left FFY I was reminded of the fact that I have always been useless at spelling but could spell 2 words with complete ease. You will have to get your own rhythm

    Mrs d Mrs i Mrs ff i Mrs c Mrs u Mrs l t y difficulty and

    Mrs m Mrs i Mrs s s i Mrs s s i Mrs p p i mississippi

The first of these shortcuts has been very useful over the years but as for mississippi i don't remember ever having to spell it even when I spent 8 months in the States back in the 70s:-)

    Anyway I digress

I take Bridget's TED and give you DETAILS

    ILS for grabs

Dai Thank you so much for the poem. I never could get into the Lord of the Rings books so I would never have seen this.

Min. What a wonderful discovery that was and probably painful too. I have read your post over and over again and, although it has made me cry buckets, thank you so much for posting your find.

After 40 years he is springing surprises on you and I am sure he will be with you forever.

    Much love Gill xxx

    Tip for ranting Sarah.

Go for it with which ever unfortunate person you get on the other end of the phone. Just a few very angry always acceptable words and just do it.

Only a few seconds. Then take a deep breath and calmly apologise for ranting at that person. Explain that you realise that it is not their fault but you are so upset at their company's inefficiency that you could not stop yourself being so cross.

At the end of the conversation apologise once more, say you hope that you have not ruined their day and thank them for their patience and professionalism.

I find that I come off the phone far more relaxed and have left the person on the other end of the phone unbruised and with a compliment ringing in their ears

Thank you all so much for your good wishes it really is a boost. Stephen had the lump removed today. He had opted for having it done under a local rather than a general anesthetic.(Is the man mad as well as having mm?) The operation took about an hour and we won't know just what it is for about a week.

His neck is aching and very sore and he feels like he is burping the stuff they used to numb him with. I know this sounds odd but Stephen and I wondered that if, as it is pumped into you, it comes out in your taste. He says it tastes just like the smell of the stuff they used.

Unfortunately the lump went deeper than they thought so they could not remove it all. If the worst comes to the worst it will mean further chemo. He is very philosophical about the whole thing. Obviously opposites attract as I am worried sick.

    Thanks again all of you

Cheers for, and good luck to both Helen and Debs, I hope everything continues to go well.

As for hair It seems to be a riddle for women or is it just me? Nothing to do with medical treatment but the older I get the thinner the hair on my head becomes. My eylashes become thinner and thinner and as for my eyebrows???

Sooo how the heck do the hairs on my legs become faster growing and thicker???? 🙂

PS to Gentlemen Do not read about this please:-)
