Well, I am in the money and I've invested in a lucky dip on the Euromillions – with a promise of 20% to you if I win.

All joking and lightness aside I am made up that you have made it through. Call me selfish but I needed you to pull through, to have a fair crack of the whip at making an excellent recovery and a long remission, to up my…[Read more]

  • Hi Gill,

You and Stephen have been my guides and mentors ever since I discovered this forum (unwittingly if not unwillingly) and I follow Stephen's progress as a possible guide to mine.

I am so sorry that you have had to face up to this at any time but before Christmas is a bit of an extra bummer. As for his pp's its a matter of onwards and…[Read more]

I happened to pass a branch of William Hill today and they had you down at Evens for 0.1 on Friday 10th and 4/6 Fav for Saturday 11th – I asked for the odds for Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th and after they phoned the Taunton branch they offered me 11/4 for Wednesday and 2/1 for Thursday.

Now listen up David – I've lumped £2.50 on the nose for…[Read more]

  • Yes, mine's like treacle too but I'm fine with that as long as its not just me 😉 😎 🙂

    Hope its sorted soon.

Congratulations Nettie, wonderful news. Erin is one of my favourite names (I once had a band called East Of Erin… well we never formally disbanded, so I suppose I still have a band called 'East Of Erin' but I digress).

Hope you get a flight soon.

  • I liked this and Janet loved this; thank you Gaye, a cheering note for a winter's day. 🙂

I had an old dream last night; first time in a long time – where I am a cactus tree that comes to life and starts running through the desert; with all the other cactus trees cheering me on. A silly dream but strangely comforting (it started about the same time as a big bump up in my MST).

Anyway, here is the song of the dream, written at the…[Read more]

    Hi David,

You might not feel up to or inclined for much blogging at the moment but we are still here, still rooting, still waiting while the clock slowly moves forward, ticking off the seconds and minutes, hours and days – tick, tock, tick, tock… then root will turn to toot 😎 and tick, tock will turn to tickety boo! >:-)

    Soon, sooner,…[Read more]

  • Roz,

Last week the medics said that Michael's myeloma was improving but the infection in his arm was still holding him back. I haven't read anything since then that says that has changed dramatically.

I appreciate your fears, I really, really do but for Michael's well being and your sanity it seems to me that you have got to get some…[Read more]

  • Hi Roz,

I never received a visit from a cleric of any denomination but I can understand why Michael might open up to a stranger… and not tell you about it.

He most likely thinks of her as someone who is discreet and used to being a confidante; someone to whom he can pour out his misgivings, his fears and his sense of hopelessness -…[Read more]

    Good morning David,

I remember this stage well – waiting to bottom out (most like Tuesday or Wednesday) followed by the 'interesting' plateau for a few days before the magical 0.01. Once they consider you have reached the plateau you will be woken up each morning for blood samples (a bit optimistic for the first four or five days but you never…[Read more]

  • Hi Roz,

Like Tom I don't believe its over until its over. The fact that his myeloma is improving surely says that the premium has to be put on controlling his infections. You are both having a truly rough time but I am sure that the medics will find a way.

    Best wishes to you both.

  • Hi Jo,

Click once on the smiley face at the end of the row above (shown when you go to reply). Then click once on the face you want to apply and it will appear as code (lines, dots, letters etc) that represent your face. When you press post the code will transform into a face. 😀

    Hope this helps.8-)

  • Hi Debs,

CDT must be imminent, so a quick note to wish you good luck and send you some positive vibes.

My body was near enough broken, with rampant and ravaging bone deterioration and very limited mobility as constant companions when I popped the first pill (cyclo) in May '09. 3 cycles later there was no discernible trace of Myeloma;…[Read more]

Hallelujah! At least (and at last) things are finally moving Roz. A decision was made, Michael's gone along with it and even as I write and you read his arm is responding and recovering to and from the surgery.
