    Have been reading these post with great interest. John has dcided to have the mini allo transplant.They are using his brothers stem cells He will be having it done in Feb. He had his auto transplant in Aug.I have been trying to get as much information as i can so we have some idea of what to expect. Can,t get any better than first hand accounts thank you very much

    Reading the other articles makes better reading survival rates going up six fold will do me nicely. x

    Thank you for your kind replies. John has 1ag myeloma which is heavy chain it showed itself at 31% After high dose chemo Methalan – revelimid dex and a transplant own cells its still to high 10% to carry on to donor translant without radiotherapy don,t know how they do this yet .But have an app at hosp on 30 dec Hope everyone is good for christmas x

    Hi Tom its utd hope you all still write to us ha ha.Goin to hosp on fri next week for results of transplant.And to discuss the next one.It really is a lot to learn but you all help,Some big dissions soon so please keep writing x

    Hi eve as you can see from my post to Sarah John had flu last year he also had sepsis and his transplant was delayed. He should have had it in dec 2010 .After 5 cycles of revlimid dex cyclo, he got the flu his immune system was so low they put him on life support.when he recoverd he went on velcade. He had his transplant in Aug this year .He has been great these past few weeks. Ihope all is well with your hubby soon

    Hi Sarah my husband also has 1ag myeloma but it is not kappa light chain .He had a stem cell transplant in aug this year .He returned to work on Mon part time.He is having a donor transplant in the new year. Every problem that occured they seemed to have a remedy for .We had quite an ordeal last year when he got h1n1 flu and was in intensive care for a month but they even dealt with that.He is on myeloma 11 trial is your hubby on a trial

    Hello my husband has the same symtoms as you he is 2mth post transplant dr said his skin was dehydrated, He gave him some cream .We remember he has had this before when he was on antibiotics,The consultant gave him piriton antihistamine so we are going to see the consultant again.Maybe allergies I think you should see you Dr. Hope it gets better soon

    Thank you so much for your lovely welcome.Yes he is going for the full monty ,We have a lot of faith in his consultant.I will keep you informed how he is getting on.A little bit about my hubby he is 57yrs old never been ill before. He went for a routine check up which included a blood test. So we could,nt belive it when they said he had MM.That was in 2010 he has some lesions on his bones but they are small.He has 1ag myeloma.We have had ups and downs with the treatment. But he never moans got to be done he says Side effects have been a pain ,But we have faith it will all be worth it …Glyn
