    Well I haven't had it nor needed it but from what I gather its fairly straght forward and the benafit outways the risks?? or so I believe, just wanted to wish you luck in your choice and wait to see who has and who didn't and why ?

    Well you know about Slims bloods plus kappa light chains!!!,the bloods only give an indication of the cells,If you ask for a copy of the bloods every time you go,its states the results if they are out of the band they should be in it will show you.This way you can keep your own watch on them.

    Thank you Eliz, and its great news. I aksed Elaine's Consultant if the pill she has to take for 5 years ( next year will be the 5th) and got a letter today from another cosultant for July to ask about treatment after the 5th all clear.

    Aways feel better if the Young Bride is checked out at least yearly 🙂

    What can I say,You new it was coming and I hope you were ready to let go.
    It still comes with lots of emotions,relief you mum is no longer suffering but you have lost you mum,who was an important person in your life.

    It is a different ball game when its your choice,if chemo is refused then palliative care is next step,then it comes to hospice which has a certain policy concerning care.
    IT sounds if Howard has chosen his path.

    Can i put my two pence worth in!!!
    I can not comment on the treatment because Slim has not had it, but and its a big whopping but.Slim had an anti sickness tablet that caused constipation.So much so .I ended up walking out of the hospital with the biggest carry bag of bowel stuff i have ever seen.

    Etta had her day of chemo last Friday and we did our first mobilisation injections tonight. Had a bit of a shock when the nurse rang up the other day to check the dose and told us it was 3 a night not one!
