Slim had his SCT and came home on the 1st of June,since then its 2 trips to local hospital each week to check on bloods plus any extra trips for platelets,he also spent 3 days in local for fluids,plus blood and platelets,have been back to Kings who are happy with him,and want to see him in 2 months.

Well i have to say Stephen,they sounded if they did a good job on you,Slims was very different.
We travelled 86 mile went to chemo out patients were he was given his chemo to help generate BMC out into blood and sent home with a five day course of injections.Travelling 86 mile back. Total 172 mile round trip to Kings London from the south…[Read more]

Haven't experienced Chemo in hospital with Frank (on tablet form) but when my brother was having it his wife used to txt me to tell me he was snoring his head off!!

I had just been saying to Frank a few minutes ago that I was going to phone Jackie our myeloma nurse tomorrow to clarify things but he said he would rather I didn't. He intends to speak to consultant when we see her next Thursday. Just hope Frank has no problem with reduced Thalidomide.

Gosh how weak our bloomin bones are? I have been today to see my Doc bloods are good but I tild him about a pain in right upper arm/shoulder so he sent me for X ray so have to wait till next thusrday for results. am sure he will say its just old age 😀
