    Hi Terry,

Sorry to hear you have been unlucky to have a rude consultant, that is the last think you need having cancer AND PP's rising. It makes me realise it is the luck of the draw.
I was upset at my consultant appointment at Leicester Royal. when my consultant informed my she did not have my PP results, but at least she invited me to email her a few days days later for them, which I did. That is not the first time, at least 3 times I have had to do that out of appointment time. I know most would frown on it but she is fine with it. I must add, I don't just email to say hi, I'm having a lot of problems with my spine/ribs.

    Sorry getting carried away!
Good luck to you Terry, kind regards

    Hi Mandy,
I am still fairly new to this site, I have just read through your posts and would like to wish you well. I had my SCT in January, it does pass, my hair is growing well enough that I do not wear a wig now. I have a lot more energy now and my appetite much improved that I think I should watch my weight!
Your positive attitude will see you through.
    Best wishes

    Hi Michele,
Thanks for taking the time to reply. I am finding this a lovely friendly site. It is good to hear from people who know how it is. I had coffee last week with a girl from work, who said I look really well, which is nice to hear, but because you can walk etc, people think I'm cured (touch wood my kidneys have been ok this far). I am on morphine for the bone pain, I do not know if I will ever be off it.

I notice quite a lot of people get back to work quite quickly. I would like to go back, I love my job but it is quite heavy, (catering), not just cooking, equipment is heavy, putting deliveries away, tables and chairs to put up (school). I hope the zometta will make me strong enough.
Sorry if I am going on.
Glad to hear you have a supportive husband. It is lovely to meet you.
    You take care
    Karen

    Hi Eve and everyone,
I agree, the failings are definitely in the GPs. I was having treatment for some months at a private osteopath based in my surgery. He said something was amiss with my back and went to see my GP to recommend he send me for a scan. My GP refused and just kept plying me with painkillers. All this happened approx a year before finally I could not function and was rushed to A&E, and diagnosed quite quickly. Not a good experience and I could have been left paralysed.
    best wishes
    Karen
