So Sorry to hear your news about your mum,no matter if you were expecting it,it still hits you,I do know how hard it must be for you and your sister,I hope you get your mum home soon.

Just came on to say that mum isnt going to get better. the consultant has told us that as well as the myeloma mum has tumours on her chest and lung. They said there is nothing they can do and have now put her on pallative care.

Sorry not in a position to comment,but I do know that in boots they do a solution called polytar ,not sure if it,s correct spelling cost £4 it is very good for people who have itchy skin,at £4 might be worth a try. Eve

Thank you all for your kind words and support at this difficult time.
When we got to the hospital yesterday the nurse gave us a number as the consultant wants to speak with us,we are waiting for them to ring us back with that appointment.we have an appointment at 4pm today with mums mm consultant,so hopefully today we will have some answers.

I am sorry that MM found you and glad that you have found us. MM used to be regarded as an old people's disease but as someone has already suggested, testing is so much sensitive and better these days.

Thanks ladies,mum is still in hospital at the moment.we have been told mum has pockets of fluid in her lung, they wont drain because they would have to do different drains for each pocket.they said that it would be to traumatic even in an healthy person.mum is still being treated for the infection.we have been told to make an appointment with mums…[Read more]
