    Hi Craig
Just read your post do not know if you have looked at the financial side of things, but i found this a great help, just to have someone come in and do some heavy stuff, worth looking into,Slim gets attendance allowance as over 65,but Etta at 54 should qualify for independent living allowance plus carers allowance. It means you can go to…[Read more]

  • Hi Mari
So sorry that you have had such an awful shock. I had a similar one a few years ago and then it went down again after a couple of months. At the time I personally put it down to the shock at the loss of my son in law in a road traffic accident (aged only 32 and Daddy to a little boy aged 5)but who knows with MM? – not sure even the…[Read more]

  • Hi Terry and welcome although I´m truly sorry that we are meeting here!

You really have been through it I´m afraid haven´t you? I was going to mention Revlimid (which seemed to work ok for me apart from the side effects and it brought my paraprotien level down prior to SCT but I have just read Scott talking about it to you. Might be worth as…[Read more]

Now that is funny David. I've already pinched it, changed the currency to dollars and posted it onto my songwriting site (based in Nashville). Their type of humour… or should I say humor. 🙂

  • Hi Eve,

I recall my consultant's observation when she spoke at the Nottingham INFODay in March – she said that some GP's go through their entire careers without coming across a MM patient. Most will only see one case… even those who see more will not retain much knowledge because they will be so far and few between cases. As you know from…[Read more]

  • Thank you Ellen.

I am sure that this section will become an invaluable asset for the forum. I am also sure that it will take a little time to settle and find its feet.

Perhaps there could be a thread for 'stickies' – similar to the web team's advices in the 'Newcomers' section. These 'stickies'… permanent articles… could be…[Read more]

    Hi Anna
You have come to a good place for Information and support,so may i say welcome to the club.
