  • Hi Gill

My its a hard time for any of us to wonder how and why any one could pass away when we are not ready for them to go, but unfortunately we can make that decision.

Its good that you have the photo's to look back onto albeit it makes you sad.

Think of the Good time Gill

    Hi Jean

I did try again to day,but I was met with same explanation which is PET SCAN WILL NOT TELL YOU WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE BONES. I said I know that but it will show if it in the soft tissue, fell on deaf ears.we know its 10 percent in bones,no extra damage shows on MRI or exrays.. He has another BMB on the 7 of May blood taken for…[Read more]

    Hi Dai

Just a quick note,I think Janet would benefit from this site, cannot get Slim on it,says its my thing, but as time goes on he wants to know more and has started to watch the info videos on here.

I have been trying to get the Myeloma team to consider a PET scan for Slim, but falls on deaf ears, say they do not do PET scans for…[Read more]

    Hi Jo,

Like Helen, Eve and the others I too had been wondering where you were. I put out a call for Keith and was mindful to put one out for you but I wanted to wait another week to allow for holidays etc., with it being Easter and all. Then you tell us you have had pneumonia… I wasn't worried about MM as I am with Keith but you were…[Read more]

  • Hi Jan,

I discussed the MUK 5 trial with my consultant again this last Monday and she was quite adamant that the trial had not yet reached Nottingham… this being so and with her stating that the Bendamustine needed watching because the reading was up slightly, makes me wonder why she did not raise the question of the 'Endeavour'…[Read more]

  • Thank you one and all, your support is invaluable to me. 🙂

It wasn't cowardice but I didn't ring in today. The treatment has hit me harder than before over these last two days and when I started the day my Dex kicked in and I was snappy and short tempered. I apologised to Janet the first time… for snapping and for the snaps that might…[Read more]

  • Hi Nicki,

We are so glad that Velcade has worked so quickly and so well for Sam. It did so for me, taking two cycles to get right down but it nuked a secondary cancer on my sternum as well so I'll allow it some grace.;-)

The next few treatments can be faced with a smile and you can face the preparation for his second SCT with a positive…[Read more]

  • Hi Nicki and Hi Pete,

I am a great believer in Revlimid. I was on it from the first week in March 'til mid-November 2012. I picked up the C: Difficule bug in May and it played havoc all year although it wasn't diagnosed until late July (although my ex-wife, a senior care supervisor recognised the symptoms and called it in June). I was taken…[Read more]

  • Hi Rob,

I am currently on Bendamustine… I have had CDT, a SCT, Velcade and Revlimid. There have been times during those treatments where I felt as strong as a new born babe and I couldn't imagine ever feeling anything near 'normal' ever again… but then I turned a corner and within days I felt really good and the feelings of absolute…[Read more]

    Hi Rob

I was going to say a warm welcome to the site, but running out of options,is not welcome

You do need some of the more experienced people to tell you if there are any more option s or Ring the myeloma nurse she might be able to help.

You do not say what age your mum is and I do think it might have some bearing on her position and…[Read more]

  • Hi Dai
I can understand you being angry,

You know you have to keep your eyes wide open, not giving Zometa early is an example.

Why wait?? Ring up speak to someone about the injections, this gives them time to have a talk, before they see you again.Eve
