Hi Kay I think my pps were about 14 ,but I am not certain they might have been higher Unfortunately melphalan will definitely cause your hair to go so it would be a good idea to ask for a referral for a wig now If you have a good hairdresser they can style it as you want. I didnt have a wig because I am such an untidy person and I just knew it…[Read more]

My partner and I have been together for 30 years we met on 14 February1981,We decided last September that after all these years and 3 expensive engagement rings it would be a good idear to marry on 14 February 2011,but as usual daughters either could not make it at the same time so we were trying to find a date to suit everyone.

    Hi
Can anyone tell me if they have had a SCT when their pp levels were at 20 or thereabouts which mine will probably be. Also does all your hair fall out, as I need to think about a wig for when I return to work, don't want to scare the staff or clients 😀 I know this is a very individual disease, but how long have people taken to get back to…[Read more]

  • Hi Tony
I am on the MX1 trial. I got the CDT arm and had three cycles, just started my fourth. However, they believe I have plateaued and will probably be radomised for either velcade or straight to Barts for STC. Looks like they are in no rush for you which as Bridget says can only be good news.

    Good luck Kay

Hi Liz I hope Kev gets to come home soon it sounds as if he is over the worst so the only way is up now!! Just a word of warning though its not a good idea to sit out in sunshine after an sct , a lot of the drugs they give us advise against it, so make sure Kev covers up in the garden We bought my father-in-law a gazebo so that he was protected…[Read more]

    Hi Liz

Your both more than welcome, and it wont be long before he is up and about, and there is no rush one day at a time and it will work out, I must have been 8/12 before I felt better and trust me the wait is worth it 🙂

Tell Kev to keep on the "Upwards and Onwards"
