    HI tina,

At the very start of my MM journey I was diagnosed with secondary bone cancer, primary unknown… with another 14 months before the correct diagnosis of MM. THE CT Scan carried out at my small, local hospital showed a reasonably large tumour that had crushed a couple of vertebrae and was in imminent danger of cutting into my spinal…[Read more]

I too am mainly bald (evidence to your left) and when my hair started to fall out Janet gave me a No.1 which, on a man,, looks quite neat and tidy. I stayed like that until my post SCT recovery and when it grew back it was the same as my teenage years, thick curls up and out a la Art Garfunkel… at one point I thought MM had found a cure for…[Read more]

    Hi Pat
AL is similar,it is rarer,I think 600 cases a year, last time I looked and only one hospital Royal Free, there are a few people on here with both Amyloyds plus MM,they usually pop up in related conditions.

It is not knowing that causes sleepless nights,so once you do know you feel you have something to fight,Velcade works for MM.

    Hi Judy
It is not unusual to feel this way, after a few months any one will tell you it is part of the grieving process. You want answers and are entitled to ask questions.

I have always made a point of keeping records of blood results as they can tell you a lot about a persons condition.

When you saw the consultant on the Tuesday who told…[Read more]
