  • I am very sorry for your loss David, and God only takes the best. I had a very much younger friend who's funeral I attended when Peter was having his 2nd transplant. It was sad to see her deteriorate over the months. There are no good cancers, but at least MM gives the patient time to know what is ahead and enjoy life to the full for a little…[Read more]

    Oh Dear Jo,
What a shame, don't we all wish that a long remission was the norm. As you say you have had a good length of time but its so disappointing to know your back on the medication treadmill, especially as Velcade has you tied to the hospital for administration.
But good luck and best wishes for the 2nd part of your journey

  • I have no knowledge of these three, Peter was on Dex and Revlamind and he did ok but he was extremely tired and had terrible trots with it.
But as you know by now everyone responds differently depending on what kind of MM they have.
i sincerely hope that Stephen responds well to his new programme of drugs and there are not too many side…[Read more]

Jean, you hit the nail on the head.
I suffered with PTSD and the councelling I got from a variety of people was not as good as the advice I got to write it all down. In doing so it is very cathartic purging of the emotions. So as soon as I get home I'm off to buy an exercise book and do it. Wish I had remembered that as I could have made good…[Read more]
