Oh Gaye! I was almost in tears last week – I really thought Harry had been killed! I think they will leave us with a cliffhanger tonight as Harry is thinking of taking the job mentioned by the other forensic guy brought in to do the PM ….. riveting stuff indeed!!!

Hi Sandie
I am so pleased to hear that your Mum's experience of BMB was pain free. Like Bridget and Sharon, I have had several of these and only one was so painful that it prompted me to write an official letter of complaint to the hospital. This was well worth the effort as my most recent BMB was carried out by a more experienced doctor who…[Read more]
Nettie replied to the topic Paraprotiens after SCT in the forum General 13 years, 10 months ago
Hi David
After my first SCT my paraprotiens were down to 5 (started out at 55!) and after three months went down to 3. Following my second SCT there was no paraprotien detectable and this has remained the case a year later (it had gone up to 13 prior to treatment). Hope this helps with your research but as this is such an 'individual' cancer…[Read more]

Dear Thunderthighs
I blame the weather ~ my Will Power went AWOL about the time the snow made its first appearance and refuses to come home until temperatures return to more reasonable levels.
I have to sympathise with 'Will' ~ it has been a long winter already and although tempted to fly to warmer regions in search of him I realise this is not…[Read more]

Hi Jonny
I am sorry to hear you have come up against a doctor who does not give you the support and confidence in him that you so desperately need and deserve at such a difficult time.
You have the right to ask to be transferred to any hospital if you feel that the one you are attending is not right for you. You do not say whereabouts in…[Read more]

Dear Roz
I am pleased to hear you have gone home to give yourself a break and hopefully catch up on some rest. In my opinion I think that what you are going through now is the very worst and when the time comes for Michael to finally let go and pass away you may feel a sense of relief and there is absolutely nothing wrong about feeling that.…[Read more]

Hi Bridget
I'm so sorry to hear this news but pleased that the chest infection is under control at least.
