I was recently diagnosed with MM (May 2012) and following a period of back pain I was subsequently found to have fractures of 3 vertebrae. In may 2012 I had balloon kyphoplasty to sort out the spine and began CTD in the same month. I did 4 cycles of CTD and am now 20 weeks post SCT and am currently looking to get back to work. I live in Surrey and am being treated at Royal Marsden in Sutton. I am relatively young (54) and am enrolled onto the Myeloma X1 clinical trial. Currently feeling very good and just started my maintenance programme of Revlimid. Have booked a short break to Scotland and hope to climb Ben Nevis in June.
