Hi Jimmy, Phil, Colin, Dilini
I thought it was just me being tired and unable to sleep, interesting too that there is no pattern, I'm not finding one either. Still it's working so I'll take it!

Hi Vickie
Sorry to hear that things are no better. I know it can be difficult with some consultants, they seem to be "the all powerful" but they are human. So as you say be assertive Vickie, have a written list of questions so there is nothing left out. When we visit consultant I take a little recorder to record the consult, as I have the worse…[Read more]

Hi Vicki
This is a terrible blow for you both, i can't imagine how i'd have felt if that had been me. It is to be hoped that Plerixafor is now going to be allowed for Colin. Keep us posted about plan C.

Congratulations Wendy, from one to another. Its a funny feeling to be here, one year on and in pretty good shape, all things considered. Did you have cake? I wasn't sure how to behave, I think I secretly wanted the family to put balloons on the door and send cards! I did have a good day though. Well done.

Wendy I understand where you are coming from, there has been some bad news from our friends. But I agree it is very uplifting for people like me to read stories like yours and Eve's, it makes me feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel and not another blo*dy train coming. Thanks for sharing

Hi Vicki
Are they trying again tomorrow? Oh I really hope that it works this time. It really makes me sick with this post code lottery. If someone needs medication it should not make a difference where the h*ll they live. I am like you Vickie I worry if I'm not worried. I questioned the SCT co ordinator if the Belfast trust funded prelixfor.…[Read more]

Hi Jennifer
Welcome to the club no one wants to join. My husband has SMM for 6 years. MM diaganosed while looking for something else. Frank was monitored every 3 months and his PP rose to 34 ( I think). Lesions were found in his ribs but radio therapist decided radiotherapy not necessary but consultant decided that treatment was necessary so in…[Read more]

Hi All
Frank is due (all things going well) for SCTin the new year. I went to a meeting last week on SCT and to be truthful at the time I was sorry that I went. I felt i got more info from the forum and in a more encouraging way. The one thing I did get out of it was, there was a man who had a SCT 3 years ago and told us what it was like – it…[Read more]

Hi Bill
Just been catching up on site and noticed your posting.
I do not know about infections with Revlamid but I do in general once you start chemo, you do have more chance of infection as your body is at low ebb so more prone to infections.
My husband contacted Septic Pneumonia, that put him in hospital for 22 days 9 in ITU ans left him…[Read more]
