  • Hi Jill

Thanks for posting this I love reading positive posts like this. I'm glad your mum came through treatment with such good results. My hubby is on CDT and the Dex is as you say "hard work". My best wishes to your mum and long may it continue.
    Take care

How did you get on Tom? Was sunny Newcastle all you expected it to be? Where did you stay? Did they put you up or did you have to do that for yourselves?
    Love Helen

  • Hello Wendy , don't think that was an over reaction, I'd have been the same. Its good to know they have trucked back down again. Lets hope they stay there, where they belong. I'm totally paranoid about every ache and pain now as well. I'm sitting here aching all over since the zometa on Tuesday, it still knocks me out for a few days, even after…[Read more]

    Hi Sue

Nice to hear from you, glad you have settled down and are coping with your diagnoses, many people on here are still at this stage for many many years,so lets hope as time goes by,your check ups will seem a bit easier.Although i know you must worry when the time comes round to be checked.

I do not think this worry leaves any one even…[Read more]

Ellen replied and said Chemo tablets can be taken whenever suits the person . She just reiterated that Thalidomide to be taken at night and Dex in morning. Thank goodness, hope next month will be as good as this one. Just have to get the Dex sorted now.:-P

    Hi Jean
I'm told it doesn't matter when you take them. Always at the same time means you are less likely to forget them. Dex keeps you buzzing sometimes so morning works for many, thalidomide and lenalidomide make you tired so evening is often better, cyclophos needs lots of fluid so you can be up all night peeing! >:-) but if Frank is able to…[Read more]

Thanks for that Tom. I have emailed Ellen to ask her. If I don't hear from her I will try our nurse. The only thing is Frank is so much better today than he's was by taking them early in the morning. Will see what they come backe with.

    Thanks Michelle will phone tomorrow
