Thanks Dai for your reassurance. They told Frank that if he got an infection he was to go to hospital straight away. I feel sorry for the poor man as I am watching him like a hawk. I'm waiting for him to tell me where to go!!!;-)

All bloods except white cells an neurophils were good. (had never heard of neurophils) Both were low but neutrophils were ,8 which I think are not too good. Weird as he is not on any treatment. An update.
New hair, finally.
A style, at last! though it only took him 3 minutes and only the back and sides trimmed by half an incch but i feel more like me again.
No colour, skin still dry and itchybut those hard lumps are now beginning to subside

Keep the appointments, they may bounce back as the others have said. I had a neutropaenia of 0.6 – 0.9 for that year before my diagnosis – which was missed- twice and apparently lots of fluctuation here can be one of the indicators of smouldering mm.
