    Hi Dai

The way they work it you begin with Zometer once a month, but it becomes less effect as time progresses,by the time you haveSCT or remission you attend hospital every 2 months so they fit Zometer in with your hospital regime Eve

Mind running riot. As Franks PPs were dropping long before CDT consultant suspected non secretory. Nothing was done to find out but Ellen had said it would be very unusual to change after 6 years. As far as I know a BMB is the way to find out if there is any progression of the MM. seeing her on Thursday so will ask then

Good to hear Franks bloods are looking good, at this stage ' close to normal with no pp' is good…. Look how long some people have taken to get neutrophils and platelets up enough to get out of hospital. I had a bmb at 3 months post SCT to check I was still in remission.

    Hi Andy
Revlimid is certainly doing its stuff for you, Have a good trip to Greece, some sun certainly lifts the spirits.

Hi Jill I always take the Revlimid at night too as it makes me weary about an hour after I take it, but everyone differs

  • Welcome back Wendy, your trip looks amazing, I confess to not changing my insurance before we went to Lanzarote, didn't think about it really, I had nothing I writing, just a 'you need a bone marrow biopsy to see what is going on so we will do it when you are back from holiday' anyway. It is done now, results next week.
    I think living with…[Read more]

  • Hi all

Just come back from hospital. Dr came and said Franks bloods were good, WCC down a little but not much. No protein detectable and no indications of Myeloma in blood. Wants to see him again on Thursday. Trying not to get excited as it seems very quick but consultant is very pleased with him. Does this happen this quickly?

    Love to all

    Jean xx

I think the person who told you that was talking about all cancers,
For example myeloma if caught early there is less damage to bones nothing to do with age,but a younger person is fitter and healthy than a 70. Year old.

My husband is 69 this year used to be very fit ,so was able to have SCT but at his age will not be offered…[Read more]

    Hi Ozzy

Would like to know more,as when I approached the subject of Velcade again it was. not recieved very well. I just think Slim did well on Velcade, and he is starting to use options up quickly without much remission or in the case of CDT,it was in affective.

    Hi Vikki and Colin

Frank got home on Tuesday – 2 and a half stone lighter with no energy and very tired. I told him this was what he had to expect. We were at consultant and she said with the exceptions od the neutrophils his bloods were good. He has started to eat small bits of food – and I mean minute but at least it is come thing.
