Hi Debbie
No one says you cannot drive,to me it just seems reasonably not to drive whilst taking heavy drugs, your mums treatment might only go 4 to 6 cycles,so no reason why she cannot drive the rest of the time.
As for insurance you are supposed to inform them of any changers:-/ but if you cancel your insurance and after a year take it up…[Read more]

Hey Helen
I thought the pesky cough had cleared up. Hope it goes soon. I know the whooping cough does last some time but you have had it long enough. It's time it takes a hike!!
Take care

Hi Debbie
My husband was like Wendy. He's coming to the end of 6th cycle of CDT and for abouT 4 days after coming of Dex he was very shakey and could not drive. As to going on holiday while on treatment I would say it would have to be cleared by consultant but with Franks experience – out of the 6 months we had to go to the hospital on 5…[Read more]

Hi Sue
As with Myeloma every person is different when in your situation, and also react differently,You have to do what is best for you.
I have a friend who use to be in the same position, she used to be worried how she would cope with the practical side of nursing, her husband chose to stay at home,he did go to respite,to give her a break, but…[Read more]

Dear Keith, Dai and Andy
You are all struggling in your different ways, but I love the sparky positivity you all have, just keep it going please. It feels like having a bunch of brothers fighting against the mm corner( I only have sisters, so I can only imagine)
Hope you all get some better numbers soon.

Hi Ali
Thanks for asking, I'm still coughing! It's day 84 today, not as bad of course, but annoying for everyone else and tiring for me, but I'm ok I'm not letting it get in the way though its a constant reminder at a point when I feel I want to put ill health behind me, Anyway, planning next holiday:-) following Tom's mantra now!
Love…

Hi Chris
Hope you are still feeling chipper, and if we are talking about the dire horrors, as you know from my many previous posts 2 days is what I can only describe as merciful, mine went on for 10 months. All better now though:-)
Hope you continue to have an 'easy ride'
Love Helen

Hi Vicky

When Colin comes out the hard work begins,so you must try and rest now.
You soon forget,they do…[Read more]
