Hi Dai I have been pondering after reading your reply Waiting for results of x-rays , mri and ct scans can get frustrating as Uch wait to discuss it in their meeting before telling the patient As for the overall results bloods etc and well being , tolerance of side -effects I have great faith in the nurses at the front line giving us the drugs Often they have spotted a potential problem and either got the doctor to see me or spoken to them for advice So I dont feel too badly off in that regard Hope today is a good one for you Dai love Bridget x

Hi Dai glad to hear your Eeyore moment is passing , you really would be superhuman if you never felt down and I know what you mean about pain v sickness give me pain everytime too!! Heres to a better day tomorrow but if you do still feel lousy ring your docs it really isnt worth suffering in silence and perhaps a small adjustment to the dose would help love Bridget Heffaalump xx

Hi Sarah sounds like the perfect sunday morning to me !! 2 year olds are the best company ever arent they Did you hoist her over the fence to scrump the beans> haha Whatever happened to scrumping ? I bet its likely you would be arrested now but when we were kids everybody did it and most owners were glad to get rid of a bit of fruit off their trees!! Ah those were the days ! love Bridget x

Hi Marian I think you are wise to get as much info for your dad re trials to help him make his decision The trouble is there is so much info it can be difficult to take it all in beforehand but as your dad starts his treatment it will all fall into place if you know what I meanWhether or not your dad is on a trial there will always be someone to answer any questions that pop up so dont hesitate The other thing to be aware of is to tell the nurses or doctors of any side-effects that crop up however small they may seem , doses can be altered to make things comfortable for him but tell him not to suffer in silence Paraprotein levels can go up and down a bit so dont get too worried by the odd blip , if you are concerned ask the doctor what their view is . I have only been on one trial and I have to say I was very well looked after , at no point was there any suggestion that the trial was more important than my medical needsIn fact they are very keen to know how you feel emotionally as well as physically When treatment does start, whichever route your dad chooses , your lives will settle into a routine which you adapt to before too long Its natural to worry when its your parents but your dad will know how much he can handle Try and take things one step at a time and if you need to vent thats what we are here for love Bridget x

Hi Eve great idea bother the housework and have a lovely relaxing day!! I think that although you arent the one with myeloma you have the hardest job, I do think my other half has to put up with a lot of stress all I have to do is be a patient !! I encourage Jeff to go out and do things that are nothing to do with me or my illness for his sanity !! But for a woman there is nothing like a new hairdo or just good old retail therapy!!! Had my hair dyed the other day and feel much more like my old self!!Enjoy your day love Bridget x

Hi Min sounds like a good time to have it done , very dusty here and getting to the loo has been tricky so Peter is best out of the way Tomorrow the units go in and they are tiling on Saturday !!I was able to choose from half a dozen cupboards , flooring , worktop and paint clours , even door handles Afar cry from the old days when tenants had no choice!! The workmen are mainly albanian and I cant fault them ,they arrive early and work non-stop and so polite It is such a relief getting the decorating done too as it took Jeff years to finish anything here , too busy fitting lovely kitchens and bathrooms for everyone else so I used to decorate and now I just am not up to it. I really miss being able to do my garden as well I love potting up baskets and pots so have fun tomorrow Hope you get some sunshine tomorrow , makes it even nicer working in the garden love Bridget x ps I am now having very loose stools all the time just hope it doesnt turn into the dreaded squits!!Tasteful end to my post HAHA X
