Hi Helen and everyone for your kind wishes, I didnt end up in hospital but with another course of oral anti-biotics. B I can honestly say they have only made a minmal difference so I will be taking a bag to clinic this week Most days I cant stay awake for longer than 5 minutes, waliking upstairs is very scary as I am so weak now, probably due to my total lack of appetite for a the last couple of weeks as much as anything So you may not hear from me very much but when I can I try to read some posts Ihope you are all as well as can be lots of love Bridget xx

Hi Ian glad your ankle problem wss sorted out quickly and simply It sounds as if you have a really good doctor which makes such a difference When I have had unexplained pain, such as you have under your arm, my doctor always offers an mri to reassure me which I think shows they see us a whole person not just a set of symptoms . Heres to your CR lasting a very long time and so good to hear you are feeling well , it makes going through all the treatment worthwhile Take care and have fun love Bridget x

Blimey Dai you dont do things by half!!Thank goodness you have Janet watching out for you she must have been so worried . I think the sweats are likely to be Revlimid , when I was on it I would pour with sweat at the least exertion and I still have the same problem now I am on Thalidomide. It does get very embarassing but I suppose there are worse side-effects Ihope you get some answers at clinic tomorrow love to you and Janet x

Dear Mavis I have not been up to speed on here lately as I have been a bit unwell so sorry I havent sent you a message. You have really been through the mill yetr your "smile" shines through still . I am glad you are getting your pain sorted even if the juggling does take a bit of time. It sounds as if the hospital is good at getting you the resources you need and as you say its rare for a consultant to push for you too .Sadly I think you are right that being in hospital is better than being home and forgotten about. Mind you poor Gordon must feel as if everthing is happening in a hurry no wonder he got worried. I hope you get home sooner than you think but more importantly that your pain gets under control then everything will seem a bit better. Happy Easter and lots of love Bridget x

I knew I should buy a Proper Newspaper on Sundays then I wouldnt miss gems like that But those Sunday Trashies are hard to resist !!!! Take care and hope you are feeling well love Bridget x

Hi Ian swollen ankles does sound like water retention , worth getting it checked out. I always get swollen ankles and calves when on Dex or Prednisalone . Ferusamide tablets are used to get rid of excess water and you should put your feet up as high as possible when sitting, doesnt mean you get to bew fed peeled grapes though!! Keep drinking lots of water as well it helps and a foot and calf massage is good too. Good luck let us know how you get on. How are you feeling apart from the pn ? love Bridget x

Hi Nicola lovely to hear from you Wow what a wonderful turnout for your dad you must have felt so proud of him. When I was very young I was scandalised at people smiling and laughing after a funeral its only as I got older I realised its such a necessary part of the grief process Those laughs and stories told at your dads wake are more precious memories for you. I hope wherever he is your dad was looking down and smiling too Best of luck with your fundraising and a big thankyou for doing it Keep in touch Lots of love Bridget x

Morning Dai no wonder you have been losing sleep there is nothing worse than having a pain you dont know the cause of . I must admit I am very surprised your doctor dismissed your concern without even doing an x-ray . I think you are right to insist on examination of your shoulder as soon as !If it is mm then it does not necessarily mean your current treatment has failed as it may be be residual damage prior to your treatment Good luck on Tuesday and keep taking the Amitrpytiline lots of love to you and Janet Bridget x
