Hi I am not sure I can offer any useful advice really but a count of 12 pp is not too high .I am sure your mil doctors will be looking at the right time to offer more treatment, they were probably waiting till after the radiotherapy As far as I know radiotherapy does not affect the paraprotein levels . It might put your minds at rest if you ring the specialist nurse who will be up to speed with her treatment and have access to the latest test results Hope you get some answers soon best wishes Bridget
Hi Dai good luck with the velcade issue , if we all ask about the sub-cu then maybe they will hurry it through here ! love Bridget x
Hi Shirley happy easter to you too love Bridget x
Hi Joe I am so sorry you are having to deal with all this but thank goodness your mums tests were negative As for your own tests I agree with Jean and Gina , tell your mum and dad they probably sense something is wrong anyway. Dont bear the worry all on your own share it with them , they will wnt to be there for you just as you have been for them Good luck Joe please let us know how you get on love Bridget
I am not dead yet sounds good to me Dai Although in my case stage 3 will be " Are you still here?" !! It would be great if we could all arrange to meet sometime in the future , we share such a close bond on here it would be lovely to meet the people behind the posts ! love Bridget x

Hi Jean that sounds like a lively clinic appointment , you should have had a bet on who was right!! Good news though which is great and the fact tht Franks health is good enough to consider an sct should he need it is great Hopefully it wont be for a very long time Have a wonderful weekend with your lovely new grandaughter , I cant think of a better way to spend easter Put myeloma and all its problems in a cupboard this weekend and relax and enjoy yourselves love Bridget x

Hi myelomawife that sounds horrible , it must be awful to see your husband like that and not be able to help Is there no other painkiller? I have never had oxycotin but I do have mst slow release tablets which work really well plus severidin for breakthrough pain If it were me I would ring the specialist nurse to talk it over with her and once she understands the negative effect it has on both your lives perhaps there will be another option Dont forget we are all here for you when you need to yell or shout , laugh or cry love Bridget
Haha so good to know we are all totally BONKERS!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx That is what I love about you all there is so much more to us than myeloma!! x
Hi Gill I replied about half hour ago but it has vanished , the first time those gremlins got me!! Blooming laptop fell asleep before I did last night but I am always up till at least 2 and often later The annoying thing is the pn in my feet gets me up about 6 am whether I want to or not . I do hope you can get some rest today and it looks like being a sunny one Can you get to France for a well earned break , would do you both good lots of love Bridget x
Dear Gill I had to read your post 3 times before it sank in my god no wonder you are in pieces! I have been told no more sct either but no-one has suggested giving up hence the revlimid Surely we just carry on with the current and most suitable drug and there must be new trials coming up . Steven and I are the same age and it is so incredible to think of giving up I know you have a good relationship with his consultant but surely they must have a treatment plan in mind Lots of love to you both Bridget x Oh and bollox to myeloma !
Hi Chris these chest infections can be a pain to get rid of ! Arent daughters lovely and its always nice when they come to keep you company, not too sure how I always end up cooking thought!! No I am not in remission When I relapsed and was on Velcade for 3 months but it didnt work So now its fingers crossed Revlimid can do the trick , I am just on the last week of my 3rd course so should have some results soon Hope you and your daughter are enjoying the sunshine take care love Bridget x
