Dear Gaye and Min funny how something like a fire can trigger so many memories Cockles yummy but I cant eat them anymore since my sct boo-hoo !! After my sct my lovely mum went back to warming my coat in front of the fire bless her We had a surprise visitor down our chimney once –not the man-in-red, a tiny black kitten tumbled into the hearth. Of course we were delighted , mum less so ,and actually it was a pure white kiteen we discovered after a bath !!Another memory is of mum warming herself in front of the fire with her skirt flipped up , teased her mercilessly for years Still its relatively warm here today Gaye even some sunshine Hooray long may it last Hope you are having a good weekend love Bridget x

Hi Gill when I watch those tv programmes where people want real country living and a coal fire it makes me smile !!!A lot of them cant remember the mess and smoke, nor the fact you were only warm if you sat right on top of it!!Chillblains were the bane of my life as a child One of my chores was to watch and make sure my dads long-johns didnt go up in flames when mum was drying them in front of the fire , needless to say there were several scorch marks !! Aah sweet memories !! But give me central heating any day love Bridget x

Good morning Roz no wonder you are exhausted, even the fittest of people would be drained by everything you are going through So Andrea is probably right you need to recharge your batteries to fight the next battle for Michael Who goes to see Michael on the days you dont? I was wondering if they could speak to the nurses as well to help you get them to understand Michael is not himself, the more people the better really Is there a patient advocate service? I feel you need someone who can , a professional who could help in things like making sure meetings are kept especially the one you were due to have the other dayIts unforgivable that you have both been left in limbo yet again and if I were in your shoes I would take a break to gather all my strength then demand an urgent meeting with the consultant whose duty it is to keep you fully informed as to plans for Michaels treatment .I hope you are feeling less uncomfortable today and you can rest without feeling guilty because you shouldnt at all !! We are all behind you Roz hang in there , get your strength back and demand your due , for you and Michael love Bridgetx

Dear Min of course you should get angry when you need to thats normal life AS athe one with mm I can honestly say I like it when my partner forgets about mm and treats me as normal .I would go so far as to say it can really irritate me when I feel smothered by well meaning relations who see everything mm related as a big drama , then I feel guilty !! But most of life is ordinary , even hospital visits become normal along with pain and medication Perhaps ;iving with a daughter with a serious life -threatening illness all her life has prepared me for living with mm , as it has my husband Please dont feel guilty I am sure Peter is regretting saying what he did too Heres to normality whatever that may be love Bridget x
