Just to let you know, my Dad was in much the same situation as your MuM,though he was 74 when his PP levels went from 6 to 24.

he didnt find the biopsy that painful. he was put on MPT, and didnt have any major side effects. his PP levels became undetectable after 4 months, so he was taken off the MPT. he just gets his blood checked every few months to keep an eye on his PP Levels. Thats them been undetectable for 4 months now. Fingers crossed.

Dont know the procedure, but I'd imagine you could ask the consultant if it is possible for the biopsy to be done under an aneasthetic.

Click on your name, click 'profile picture', click upload (at bottom). A small window opens up saying something like 'search for file 'BY' upload to beta.myeloma. (it sould say 'TO')

You now have to find were your picture is on your computer.

Try different 'look ins'. Before this procedure if you had saved your picture to your desk top, you would 'look in' desktop.

If you dont want your photo displayed, google 'free avatars'. You can download any of these pictures. Some of the moving ones are quite good – though I decided to be restrained in my choice :). If you do it this way you would 'look in' your download folder.

You right. In fact the old site was bad for that. Sometimes someone would reply to some comment in the middle of a thread. This would send that thread to the top of the board.

But youd have to go through the whole thread checing dates to see what the new comment was.

Things are much clearer on this board. how to get them over here though?

You can stop that from happening by selecting 'Flat' instead of 'Threaded', another advantage to this board set-up

I eep it in 'Flat' mode all the time, you can usually tell from the content whether someone is replying to the original poster, or replying to some other comment.

I just wored that out too. Once you start a discussion thread it cant be deleted. I can ind of see why that should be the case – for example if other people had already commented on it.I Dont now if its a glitch or designed that way.

Yes! – the Delete option is beside the Edit on all additional comments – but not on the first one if you start a new thread. ie if you start a new discussion off you cant delete it. I can ind of see why that should be. Sort of.

mmmmmmmmm I now I must be doing something wrong. I can see were it says edit, but it doesnt say delete beside it. Let me try again later, will post again if I cant get it to work
