He died at home with his family,I could not think of a better way to die,I have never heard of the Crossroad girls, but i do know the Macmillan do what they can to make the passing easy,I am so glad your mother found some comfort in this.We fight this MM the best way we can. Regards Eve

Hehehe,Portuguese Spanish French and Australian you have to get your priorities right LOL
I forgot to tell you I am deaf,I wear hearing aids,so it,s impossibly for me to learn any new language,Good luck with french,I find french people very friendly,I talk to them all the time, and Slim translates !!it,s making the effort that they appreciate love Eve
Hi Bridget
How did your chemo go? forgot to tell you tried to contact you on face book, but must have got the wrong Bridget,as never got a reply.:-/
Slim had the works, went for consultants appointment found himself on a drip within 10 mins, and in bed 30 min later did the lot over a week end, skeletal survey,MRI,and bone marrow, except for the hiccup with 22 days in hospital, with septic pneumonia, finished CDT and looked like plateaued ,then did bone marrow again and found out it had increased to 80% in marrow!!!.
PET scans are new ground for me,only know they are expensive but my hospital has one.
It is the pain in his chest that is more of a concern for Slim,it has been there from the start,he expected it to go with treatment but it never did, part of the problem,is the way he tells them,it,s as if it,s not that important!!
Just had another MRI scan, and my own Doctor arranged CAT scan in case it was his lungs, because with the pneumonia there were no signs no cough just feeling unwell and off food and drink, that,s why I am so careful now.
today, slight cough pain in chest, vomited all over carpet, doing ops every hour.watch this space think its going to be hospital job, going tomorrow for bloods and Velcade.
Good to see you in great spirit love Eve
Hi Sharon
They are still telling me PET scan will not tell them what is going on in the bones!!!They have decided bone marrow after 4 cycles,so we will not have result when we see consultant on 14th,will only have MRI results.:-S
Read a piece saying fish oil has been tested and found too hinder some chemo drugs,at the moment testing on mice.Still trying to find out,if Flu jab is advised with people on chemo.
Eve
Hi Sarah
So sorry about your father, but i am glad in all this misery you are going through, that you have rediscovered your sister, when the head of the family dies, some families just disintegrate others unite,I do hope you and your sister are the latter.
When my mother died to me it seemed like ending a book, gone forever,my mum was the kingpin, and with all my family being380 miles away, and no communication between us!!.thought that,s it,end of book.
But it wasn,t it was start of another chapter, from never being close to my sister ,I am now and i know they would be there for me at a drop of a hat:-)
They still do not know what to say to there baby sister about this b-l-o-o-d-y cancer, but i do know if I said I need you, they would be on the next train.
So i hope that you and your sister, will be able to take something good from all the bad things that are going on in your life.Love Eve

I love to watch the sunrise in the morning,I put bird seeds out every morning just before the sunrise and watch the birds come down, when I miss it for any reason, the wood pigeons seem to be watching me as if to say "come on you have forgot this morning"
I love the seasons many I have missed this year,i watched spring from windows, and summer has passed me by,I had a delivery of sun flowers yesterday from my daughter,I loved the way she gave me alittle bit of summer.
I love the way friends insisted they took me out on my birthday,It made me put on a big smile, crack jokes and pretend that life is normal,.
I love the fact that i can come on this site and say all this, because i would not let my barriers down, and tell my family how I feel.
This is all very thereputic (spelt wrong)
Love Eve
Hi Dai

lorrier hope.:-)
Holiday has worked wonders for you.Eve
Hi Min
Can i tell you a story about what happened to Slims mum,she was going a bit doolaly but she was independent and could function.
then some spiteful person rang the pension people up and the cancelled her pension, took awhile for money to run out for standing orders, but she did not have, the ability to do anything about it,we were abroad at the time, she could not understand why the bank would not give her any money, and lived on fresh air for many months, and would not answer her door because, she was getting letters saying she owed money.you can imagine the rest!
We took it up with the pension service ,as this would not have taken place,if they had not taken the word of someone ringing up and saying she had died.
We were assured that in future only written proof would be acceptable.
I do know what you mean, but lets face it there are some very weird and nasty people out there.
Some organisations will not even except copy,s any more because the internet makes it so easy to forge, sad but true.
Why not wait awhile, wait until you are able to deal with it calmly, anger is part of grieving, and it must be very hard to deal with, when ever thing is so raw.I hope I have not upset you,but it might help you understand a different side , Love Eve
Hi Gill

Hi Nadine
Welcome to this site,I am sure you will find all the support and answers you need to help your mum with her illness.
As a carer and a mum, myself I try not to worry my children about my husband as my way of thinking is our lives have been put on hold, and i do not want my daughters lives to be put on hold,
I do not want them to be worry about us all the time, its important that life goes on as normal as possible:-)
If and when drastic things happen ,My daughters and son-in-laws,were there, otherwise we try to take a day at a time, and do not talk about it,unless I feel the need. hope this helps Eve
