Sorry we missed your post Lara. Its my mum that has myeloma and its hard to see someone you love go through this disease. I cant really help with your question but i know there are lots of lovely people on here that will be able to give you some good advice.

Hi Gill, hopefully mum will start to feel better soon, it is only her 2nd day of velcade so early days. She has that many drugs that she is rattling. Hi min, the consultant knows about it but im not sure where it all stands with the gp. I will speak to the doctor tomorrow and on monday let the consultant know. Hopefully we will have more answers then.

Thank you all again for your support. Much happier today. Mum still gets breathless and is tired but she is actually eating proper food today,so we are so relieved.Here is hoping that this treatment will be successful and bring them paraprotiens dow.

Thank you so much for your replies. Mum started her first treatment today, she was given an anti sickness drug which more or less worked straight away. She was then given fluids before the velcade. I know i have been thinking to do that. I think because my sister complained to PALS today they must have said something, also my mums gp has spoken to them.Hopefully when she starts treatment on monday she will start to feel better hopefully. Thank you for your reply xx

Dai i dont know what to say but agree with the others. I really hope you are ok, what a awful time it is for you. I cant imagine what you are going through but i do hope you start to feel better soon.
