    Hi Lynne

my husband like yours was diagnosed in feb following he thought a pulled back muscle, only to find he had 5 fractures to his vetebrae  he has just had 8 months of CTD, it is frustrating to watch your loved one go through this treatment, all you can do. Is be there to support and  to be there, it is life changing but you can only try and take it each day  as it comes, whether it is good or bad.

the treatment side effects are not nice, but if they work, they are worth it.

if you need anyone to chat to feel free to message me

Hi sarah my husband was diagnosed in February, he is on CTD  as is on his second cycle. He also had fractures to his vetebrae. It is a difficult and devastating. Disease like the previous reply said side effects vary  my husband experiences constant pain, fatigue, nausea constipation, it is very upsetting to see your  loved ones suffering, but you have to take little steps take the good days and enjoy and  accept the bad days. It is a long road which no doubt has ups and downs.

family are really important we have a daughter and son and they and their children are the best medicine to keep some normality and forget about  having MM and be there to support each other.

He is going for MRI and assessment for veterbraeplasty to see if he suitable to see if this helps.

it is horrible to see your loved one in so much pain let’s hope that the treatments help this horrible pain.

My husband had  large doses of dexemethasone and he had a rash on his arms and a very red face whilst having this . He was on allopurinol as well at the time. He told doctor at his appt this week but they didn’t seem worried about it, hope your treatment goes well
