Thanks so much for getting back to me / your useful advice. That’s good to know about hospital transport – I didn’t think that being outside of London could be a viable option, even if it does come with a stressful phone call :).

Hello,
My father was recently diagnosed with Myeloma. He had sold his house in the UK and was temporarily visiting Russia when he fractured his spine. As a result he was stuck out there for some time and when we finally managed to get him home he received his diagnosis.
