May your memories and family give you strength through this very sad…[Read more]

Thanks Helen for the good wishes. I tried to get tipsy but with the whole family together – frank and 2 sons United supporters and 2 Liverpool supporters – lets just say it was not a quiet day :-D. I'm really surprised how well Frank is getting on. He said last night he was doing to look at flights for Malaga but I sort of side tracked it.…[Read more]

Frank thanks you all for your good wishes. Don't know whether its a good thing or not but he is slightly tipsy at the moment 🙂 He did enjoy himself and that s the main thing. We had to leave the restaurant a little early – have you guessed – yup United were playing but he continued partying even after the draw.

    Thank you all again
    Love…

  • Hi Nikki

Frank was in the same boat. All his bloods were dood except for potassium. The kept him in an extra 3 days on a drip.potassium started to rise and they said he could go home. Frank asked was it his own body or the potassium drip that was responsible for the increase. They said it was a good point and kept him in another day. They gave…[Read more]

    Hi Mary

What Tom says is right. The cleaner the better. Frank came home after SCT 2 weeks ago. He did try to climb stairs as soon as he got in but didn't make it. Couple of hours later he did. Now it is his daily exercise – climbing the stairs. I would add to vet all visitors. Mind you I only allow the family and no one else. They know that if…[Read more]

  • Hello Jean

I know it's hard when your loved one has to start treatment. My hubby had no treatment for 6 1/2 years. He then had pain in his side which turned out to be small lesion on ribs. Radio therapist not concerned about it and did no treatment. Then some months after the consultant said it was time to start treatment. I know it is scary…[Read more]

Glad to hear that Slim has no more lesions. You just seem to be banging your head against a brick wall. Can Ellen or Maggie give you any advice. Franks consultant said that the PET scan was needed to detect how active if at all the Myeloma is. There is no proteins in the blood and as they had been dropping for some months before treatment…[Read more]

Hi Helen as the boys say he must be feeling better as he is complaining 😀 appetite is improving every day. Still not eating a lot but getting there. He had a beer and a whiskey tonight – one thing about Frank – he gets his priorities right. His daily exercise is climbing the stairs a few times a day.
