Min I like Eve wish I had your way with words. That was truly beautiful. We are lucky to have you and Dai. You both can write what a lot of us think but can't express. Thank you

    Hi Liz

Sorry to hear that Kev is having such a bad time. I know what you mean about men being stubborn. (sorry all you men out there!). I am sorry that I can't give any help on the problem that Kev is having. Sometimes posts get "way laid" or lost so maybe if you start a new topic under Treatment or Side affects with a heading on the problem – there will be someone on here that will be able to give you advice. They are a very knowledgeable on here. I hope you get sorted and my very best wishes to you both.

    Hi Gina

My husband diagnosed sept 2006. He is not on any treatment. His protein went up to 31 and then dropped to 24 started to rise again and now is 28. Dr said that would not start treatment as other bloods were within range and kidney function was good. She sent him for MRI scan three weeks ago but have heard nothing yet. We also go back in June. It sounds like they are similar. Frank has what be calls "power failures" he has a sleep and back to normal. He has had his share of infections – haemoglobin at 11.8 but he is happy that there is no treatment yet. Hope this is helpful – not sure if answered question but they both seem to be in the same boat.
My best wishes to your mum.

Bridget what brilliant news. I am so glad to hear more good news. Now those horrible night demons will take a hike. So take it easy on the housework. I had a boss years ago and she always said "there is an acceptable level of dust", something I live by. (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it)

    Good on you!

    Dear Ali

I am sorry to have to be one of the first to welcome you and Guy to the forum. Getting the diagnoses is as you say a terrible shock but you have come to the right place. My husband has SMM and the people on this site are terrific. They have a wealth of knowledge and they will be there for you when you need them with information, comfort and support. I hope it is not long before Guy is home with you.

Best Wishes to you both and keep positive

    Dear Susan

My deepest sympathy to you and your family on the passing of Kevin. When I first joined the forum Kevin gave me good advice on worries that I was having about my husband, for which I was very grateful. As Dai and David say "He was one of he good guys".

    God bless and take care.
