Hi Carol
So glad your good phase continues, I found your comments about wigs really helpful because it is something I have worred about, even though it is, hopefully, a long way down the line.
Enjoy your riding and hope you get that door…[Read more]

Hi All
It just struck me that new members to the site might not know of the Myeloma Diary supplied free by Myeloma UK. I find mine very useful as I take it each time I have a blood test to record results. Also add para protein level when they arrive later. It's not a diary in the usual sense of the word.
It is also full of lots of other…[Read more]

Hi Tina
Glad your going on the trial as you will be monitored really well and the medications used seem to be having a good impact on the MM for most people.
Regarding the side effects of the treatment and SCT – well, like you I was really worried about the hair loss all the time up until the SCT – my poor husband spent a BOMB on having a wig…[Read more]

Dear Mavis thankyou for your kind words you always put things so well from the heart. I am lucky in being mobile still but that causes the medics to panic as I dont react the way they expect me to!! When I was diagnosed they couldnt work out how I was able to walk when 3 vertebrae had been destroyed and this time they are really anxious as the…[Read more]

Hi Nikki
Your Auntie maggie seems to be one tough cookie to not realise she had a broken jaw, lesions are often there in advanced myeloma they should respond to treatment sounds if Maggie is on CTD which which is first line treatment.
The issue seems more to do with your aunties lung situation, swelling when people are bed ridden is usually…[Read more]
