Hi Scott
Welcome to this site. I'm a relatively newcome too but have found it really helpful.
I'm aleays interested in anyone else, who like me, isn't keen to rush into chemo. I went to Consultant this week. PP level 7. She says I'm aneamic and might need a blood transfusion. Evidently, radiotherepy, which I've just finished, can…[Read more]

Hi Keith,
I'm not on velcade but I would describe the taste that I get on revlimid/dex/Cyclophos as being like sea water and quite salty. Even glasses of water taste of it??
Do you take the velcade with anything else? Someone else hadn't thought of it tasting salty when I mentioned it and then realised that was exactly what it was that they…[Read more]

It took me a few goes to post my reply to Ron because of inappropriate content!! Eventually realised it was the very hot place some bad people go to when they die !!Haha how much more succinct a four letter word is !Bridget
brocho replied to the topic Dexatude in the forum Side-effects 15 years, 5 months ago
Hi Ron sorry but Dexatude is a made up word to describe the awful creatures we become sometimes when we are on dex!! It can make you very short tempered at times and impatient ,not very nice for the people around us Hopefully your wife wont have these side -effects though In my case the higher the dose the more likely it is I will be not very…[Read more]

Hi Keith thats a strange one ! I didnt have anything like that on velcade , mind you I wasnt on it as long. I always find dex is the main culprit for taste changes but I would have expected that to be from the outset . Hope someone else can help love Bridget x

Dear Sarah
I am so sorry to hear the way Gordon's family is treating him and you. It must be so hard for you to watch and listen and to hold your tongue. You must be a strong person as I don't know what I would do if I did not have the family's support.
I hope Gordon starts to feel better soon and that at some stage soon his family "wakes"…[Read more]
