Hi Richard,
I hope the delay is a short one and your liver results return to the normal range quickly. It is annoying that the drugs you need to make you well can cause so many other problems, it is good that they are on the ball though to avoid further complications.

Hi Maureen,
I am glad to read that Ian is feeling better, hopefully the bed sore will be fully healed soon.
Are you making the food you take in? I know it is more expensive but maybe, to save yourself some time, you could buy ready made things from the supermarket? I found I got very tired while Phil was in hospital for his SCT, trying to…[Read more]

Hi Dai,
There does seem to be varying information depending on who you talk to. My husband Phil receives Zometa once a month and was told it would be for two years. When Phil was on treatment it was added on with the other drugs once a month and was still given while he was in hospital for his SCT. Now that he is post SCT he is having it…[Read more]

Hi Richard,
I can't help with the HGV licence but my husband Phil drove all the way through his PAD treatment except for a short while after he had operations on both both legs due to bone damage. After Phil's SCT he did not drive for a short while due to fatigue but he is now fine driving again. He was also never told he could not…[Read more]

I have seen what they offer at Cancer Club plus Hospic,I have all ways thought it was for the patient not carer.
If I tried to get Slim to go he would not want to know, stubborn is his middle name.
Thank you Mavis I know are believes are different, but I do have a lot of respect for people who can hold there faith,…[Read more]

Hi Dai
The way they work it you begin with Zometer once a month, but it becomes less effect as time progresses,by the time you haveSCT or remission you attend hospital every 2 months so they fit Zometer in with your hospital regime Eve

Mind running riot. As Franks PPs were dropping long before CDT consultant suspected non secretory. Nothing was done to find out but Ellen had said it would be very unusual to change after 6 years. Hi all
Just come back from hospital. Dr came and said Franks bloods were good, WCC down a little but not much. No protein detectable and no indications of Myeloma in blood. Wants to see him again on Thursday. Trying not to get excited as it seems very quick but consultant is very pleased with him. Does this happen this quickly?
Love to all
Jean xx

I think the person who told you that was talking about all cancers,
For example myeloma if caught early there is less damage to bones nothing to do with age,but a younger person is fitter and healthy than a 70. Year old.
My husband is 69 this year used to be very fit ,so was able to have SCT but at his age will not be offered…[Read more]
