I am so sorry to hear that your Dad is in hospital and having problems with his spine and legs. I don't know the answer to your question about radiotherapy and velcade but I assume the doctors would stop the velcade for a short time while your Dad had the radiotherapy if necessary. I started on tablet bisphosphonates over two years ago and then went onto infusions of zometa. I have had no side effects from them. The only problem is, if you need invasive dental treatment, which I did, you have to have zometa knocked off for two month before and two months afterwards. Thanks. He is so lovely but his nails are so long that he has scratched the face off himself ? they have put mitts on him,, they hope to get home tomorrow but as Angela is diabetic they may keep her in a bit longer. She won't like that as she wants home so badly

i have regular infusions of pamidronate once a month no real side effects a bit achey at first but after that no bother
I hope she does well this medicine may help keep MM at bay for a bit

CDT was ok for me had a bit of PN in my feet two outer toes on each foot went very numb but not painful so i could live with that and at night it gave me a good four hours sleep even on the DEX time, doesn't suit everyone but it did me

My hubby had Zometa for 2 years back in 2006. He then started it again in June and on both occasions he has had no side effects at all. Hope all goes well for your wife
