Hi Dai
Just caught up with these posts.. Relieved that you are on the mend. Do hope that you are able to make the party on Saturday, but understand your concern about germs.
Very best wishes to you and Janet.

Hi And
Sorry things aren't moving on treatment wise. We will all keep our fingers crossed that the professor can come up with something.
One thing occurs to me. You say you are still having back pain. Have you seen the pain specialist? Maybe you need a higher daily dose of morphine. Here they take the line that you shouldn't have pain and will work towards that. Sometimes, I think, that can get lost in the battle over PP numbers and the like.
We will keep rooting for you. Hold onto what Marie says about 12 years! We all need to hear those good news stories.
Best wishes to you and Steph.

Hi Aleathea
Welcome from me too. What a blow for you and your Mum both to be diagnosed with cancer. Life isn't fair, is it. No wonder you have had times of feeling depressed.
As you are on route to SCT I presume you are quite young! That's hard to cope with too, but at least, as others will confirm, you are hopefully on the way to a long remission, even if getting there is rough.
Hope to hear from you often on the Site.
All best wishes.

Dear Tina
Most good firms would offer a phased return to work. Haven't you been offered that? If not, and you feel you must go back now, if it proves too much for you, ask about it. Haven't you got a Union rep?
Thinking of you at this difficult time. At least it is good that you have had a good responnse to the treatment. Like everyone else has said, don't push yourself too far.
Lots of love.

Hello everyone
Thank you so much for your encouraging messages. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this is the beginning of a long remission. I think it is encouraging for other folk as well if it is. I will keep you posted. I hope others' news is as good.
Lots of love to everyone.

Dear Helen
So sorry you have had another set back. Having just had one of those infections myself I sympathise with your frustration. You wonder where they come from, don't you.
Do hope you are soon feeling better, but maybe you aren't meant to return to work yet!
Much love.

Dear Andy
I am glad you managed to have a break in spite of the PP numbers. Let's hope you manage to kick them into touch soon.
All best wishes.

Hi Siobhan
I have only just read the sad news about Bridget. Like others I have already shed some tears and will undouboutably shed more. I owe a great deal to Bridget. She was such an encouragement to me when I was coming to terms with being diagnosed with MM. Her posts, not just to me, but to everyone, were so helpful.
It was obvious that for Bridget her family was the most important thing and the thing that made the fight worth while.
I wish I was well enough to write something more fitting, but do take this as a sign of the love I felt for Bridget even though I only knew her via the Site. I have been concerned about her these past months. I am just glad that she is now at peace and that her going wasn't too protracted.
My thoughts and prayers will be with you all in these difficult days.
Much love to all your family.

HI Dsvid
You just keep beating the markers. Not just for yorself, but for all of us because you are a real inspiration. I find it is my daughter who finds it encouraging that folk are beating the printed prognosis. For myself, I keep saying they are just numbers and we are all individuals. But, we are all human as well so we can't help having "survival" in mind!
One comfort, living in a Care Village, with lots of folk with carers coming in four times a day, and with others moving into the Care Home, I am glad I will not have to cope with the problems that very old age seem to bring!!!
Lots of love.

Hi Andy
Like everyone else I am sorry your remission only lasted such a short time. I think you are right not to go for a second SCT at the mement. I do hope Velcade works well for you and that you manage to get it by injection fairly soon. If so, do you do it yourself, or do you still have to have it done in Hospital?
All best wishes.

Dear Jean
Do hope your husband has good response to the Rev and DEx. A lot of folk seem to. With this MM it seems to be a step at a time. It is really good that he hasn't had bad side effects from earlier treatments so lets hope it is the same with this.
All best wishes.
