Thank you that’s good to know. It’s just a thought to go through hospital treatment again that’s why I was thinking about the tablets.

I have been offered it as a triple (DVD) second line treatment or take the oral route of Lith and dexemthazone. I am in two minds whether to take DVD because of the hospital visits and the virus at the moment my doctor is swaying towards the oral treatment but as you say I dont want to miss out on DVD treatment at a later stage. Still undecided what to so for the best.

Thanks for your feedback I’ll certainly be asking that question on Monday whether or not Daratumumab will be offered to me further down the line.

    Hi,

I have not been on for a while, so just read your post.  I too have MM and amyloidosis.  I had amyloidosis in the lymph node and that was removed I then went on to have further tests and it was then discovered I had myeloma.  I have had 5 cycles of VDT and have one more to go.  I am also on the waiting list for a SCT.  I had 5 years of feeling that something was wrong my amyloidosis presented itself in a strange way.  I thought initially I had a food allergy as it affected my tongue, my eyes and skin also became sensative.  I then started to feel less energetic and bruised very easily.  I went from consultant to consultant until I finally had an answer.  It is hard to get your head around and it is something I am still struggling with myself.  But that is how my illness appeared.  I hope this helps.  Good luck with the tests.

Thanks, for getting in touch that helps just knowing that the treatment works and there is some normality at the end of this.  Although it is going to be hard living life with this dark cloud hovering above.  Hopefully there will be a cure from this horrible disease soon.
