    Well what can I say ??

    I had my SCT in December 2009 and up until 2013 was in remission and drug free, so the first transplant gave me a long and drug free four years and for that am pleased.
    But did I have off days ?? Yes I was weepy and yes my head was low, lower than I wanted it to be.

  • It’s not a problem Chris and am sure it will work out well and I wish you luck I. Your decision whatever it is.

    As for the myeloma we knew it would come back it’s just a when and how, am blessed with having no bone damage (that we know of) so that’s a blessing and as always it’s onwards and upwards.

    Hey a well done you and your stem cells that’s the best I have heard of 😉
    I collected enough for two in 3/4 hours but they put them in three bags so they gave me them all back so have none in reserve :-/ .

    Am sure whatever you wear they will ask q good luck and hope your cells are not in the freezer for long.

    Well done on the remission am pleased for you.
    As for the Maintanance regime I was never asked if I wanted to go on it so am not sure what I would have done to be fair.

    Well as I recall it the more pain the better mine lasted three days, as for childbirth lol I know nothing he he.

    I got enough stems out in one day took three or four hours

    Thanks for your support it really means a lot.
    Carol I do feel blessed four good years was more than I expected and to be honest it’s not that much of a shock to us.

    I am being treated in Scunthorpe General under Dr Jalihal and the Velcade would as he said in 1998 be his first choice but at that time they wouldn’t let him.

    Well am sorry I have to tell you my Myeloma has kick started itself back into our life’s .

    After four years of remission I got the results Thursday (5th dec) having a BMB on the 30th Dec then pet scan (date to be arranged) then in new year discussion with consultant about new treatment I will be having.

    • Well Tom my Mum started Velcade and dexy she only had two injections but it started to work, they gave it sub cutaneously not i/v as it appears that there is less peripheral neuropathy if its given that way hope it helps to know that, sorry that you have had that news now but you will kick it back again Tom and with your wonderful attitude…[Read more]

    Yes I got a bit "Blown up" when I first had my first line of treatment CTD then SCT all in December 09, and as of now doing great and Drug free 😀
