    Hi Michele,
Thank you for your reply, I coloured my hair with the Garnier Olia, covered all the grey, I no longer feel and look like a frump, next time I colour I will use a lighter shade, did turn out a little darker than my wig, but still looks better than the grey. Just one question did you have the SCT?, I decided not to go ahead, I was so ill with the treatment, didn't think I would get through the SCT, then I keep thinking did I do the right thing, I feel great at the moment having finished my treatment in April, no pain at all my para protein gone up a little to 6.4, but was told unless it went up to 11 they would do nothing, I would have thought 11 pretty low, do you or anyone else know what they class as high. Any help would be appreciated.

take care everyone and good luck

Thank you Wendy for your reply, I am 65 I finished my treatment in April and at the moment taking nothing, which worries me slightly, I have thought and thought about the SCT (am I doing the right thing refusing it), but honestly I was so ill for 5 months with CDT, I was more or less housebound, and honesly thought I would never survive the SCT, can't understand why I am taking nothing at all now, my protein levels have gone up a little, but was told this could be a blip.
Hope all goes well for you

Hi Carol, I was diagnosed November 2012, aged 64 had 5 months of CDT, but felt so ill all the time, I decided not to go ahead with SCT it does bother me but I felt I just couldn't go through all that again, I have never ever felt so ill, I know everyone is different. Finished my treatment In April and a at the moment I feel great, so I am going to leave well alone. Hope your treatment goes well and good luck

    Hi Tim

just been reading your post, were you on the dex and thalomide, if so did you have any side affects, I am on the cdt trial with dex and thal. most of the time I feel light headed and my legs are very weak and wobbly, feel like I have no control at all, would be interested to know if you had any of those symptoms.

    Hi Tim
just been reading you reply, so gld you are doing so well, I am on my 3rd cycle and my blood hs come right down, the next step for me is the SCT, but am terrified of this and thinking of not going ahead, as I feel so well I have no pain at all, just very weak and wobbly legs, which I think could be the thalomide, what was the SCT like was you ill for a long time.

Hope things continue to go well for you.
