Stage 1 Myeloma
I am on my fourth month of CTD with excellent results not too many side effects. Last month treatment in August, almost within normal limits after two months. Picked up very early due to plasmacytoma of the skull whilst on holiday in india . Had radiotherapy which cleared this up but they discovered borderline myeloma and decided be prudent and to treat this. I am not going to have SCT, due to my age etc but my question is when i have finished this round of treatment do i have to go on maintenance therapy.. Forgot to ask consultant at last visit. I have monthly zometa infusion. I am under Addenbrookes at Cambridge. Would be grateful if anyone can answer this question. Thank you. Avril
