  Hi all, Had my 3 month (doesn?t 3 months fly past) check up and all is well. Paraprotiens up to 3.5 from 2.8 I somehow was expecting this they have been going up steadily since my all time low of 2.4. I think 5.2 will be my next reading in 3 months, we shall see. The rest of the bloods were ok and the Consultant was happy to let me loose for 3 months more. She picked up on the rib pain and I had to go for an x-ray. If it is a problem she said she would call me in otherwise byeeeeeeeee.

  Point. I told her about the Nuclear x-ray and she said that a Nuclear x-ray does not pick up Myeloma lessions. You can only see them with a normal x-ray. So there you go.

  heres to the next three months my Para have been 8 since last sept all other bloods ok so no panic yet

  Hi David
  IF you can get a PET scan out of them,it will show any form of Cancer outside of the bones,but they cost a lot of money.
  I do not know how they will decide if Slims is coming back as they have told us only way is BMB.
  Have another holiday ,then you might forget about the 3 months again.Eve.
  Dai is very quiet anybody know if he is OK?????

  Morning David,

  Not been on here for a while – glad your paraproteins are still low and hope they stay that way. I had my 3 month check a couple of weeks ago and the pps are still too low to quatify. Do you ever suffer from leg pain I find they keep me awake at night – I sweat a lot aswell but don't no if thats just coz I'm a laydeee!! Hope you are keeping well – not my favourite time of year coming up – start of the cold and chest infection season – Anyway

  Thats great news David and a well done to you and your team 😀

  I hope after your X Ray you get the byeeeeeeeee. from them and go out and enjoy the three months respite.

  Am sure am due this month some time?? but hey ho am sure My Doc will be smiling 😀

  And Gill am sure you dont sweat am sure if anything you would perspire Lol.
  Week end nearly here so lets hope it warms up as I aint too keen on the cold these days

  Hi David. Hi all.

  I have had zero paraproteins, or at least "immeasurable" amounts since my stem cell treatment in September 2009. The Consultant I saw most recently told me that the levels may have now increased, and I am waiting for the definitive result.

  My question was going to be – At what level do they start treatment again? – but I see some of you have been quite stable with levels higher than mine.

  Anyway, best wishes to you all.
