just thought i would post and say what a great day we had. Lots of information and people to answer questions. We had a lovely lunch and tea and coffee when we needed a brew(werent sure about all the cakes though, especially when on a healthy eating plan lol) But it was nice to meet likewise people and the staff were brilliant and made us feel very welcome. Did come away with a bag full of info which will be looking through later.
But thank you to myeloma uk for a great day 🙂

    Hi Gina
Glad you and your sister enjoyed the info day:-)It helps i think when you meet people who have been living with MM a log time,it gives you a lot of hope, and on bad days, you can think its just a slight hiccup, and tomorrow will be better;-)
My nearest info day will be London next year, and nearest support group is over 60 miles away, that,s why i find this site so helpful.
Slims picked up after a bad few days, came back from hosp, with more tablets, lot of illness around at the moment,so keeping him away from grandkids:-(
How is your mum doing?,hope she is feeling more up beat.Eve

Hi Eve, we don't go to the support group as the nearest one is Bury. So this website is a godsend. Like you said it gives you a bit of hope going to see others who are going though mm and how well they are doing. Mum isn't too bad, still very shaky and cant get out and about much. She had her bloods done on Friday and is at the hospital on Wednesday to see how the Revlimid and her bloods are doing. She has only been on Revlimid for 2 weeks so we shall see.If Slim is like my mum he will say he is rattling with all these tablets 🙂
I hope Slim starts to feel better soon and he can see the family again, you take care

I didn't know there was an info day in Oct. I just had a look and unfortunately it clashes with my mother in law's 80 th birthday gathering so I'll have to go to the next one in London. I see that my specialist – Dr Schey – is the chairperson. He certainly knows what he is talking about. He has done well for me so far….

    Hi Jo
Thanks for the information, will ring and find out how late I can book it,and check about parking. If problems with parking Slim will not be able to come,as he cannot walk or stand for any length of time.
Also not sure how he will be,1 week of 4 cycle, has hospital on Friday,I might go on my own,It is easier to go by train then tube, but there is no way Slim can do that.:-(
Also do not like leaving him on his own.

Its lovely to here you are doing so well Jo,and having great holidays,I feel I just want a bit of my old life back even if it,s only a week, cannot get Slim to stay in hotel,so no holiday for us!!.Thinks he can do it in Van,So clash of opinions!!:-P

Anyway Jo you just might see me there if everything works out love Eve
