I have not been on here for a long time, because of things being so hectic with Stephen's mm and other stuff, and have not yet caught up with any posts so please forgive me for just posting about me and mine
Stephen was supposed to go in for a second transplant on the 24th May I took him to Kings College Hospital and got a phone call the following day saying "come and get me"
He had had a bad cold, throat etc a week or so before going in and, worried that he would not get into Kings, had visited the Practice Nurse at our GPs She gave him a prescription for anti biotics just in case (they don't prescribe anti biotics for those of us that are healthy but do take a "just in case" policy with people that have certin illnesses)
One of the side effects of anti biotics can be diarrhoea. When questioned at Kings about his general health etc he mentioned the cold and diarrhoea and was discharged straight away.
After poo tests etc (too much information 😛 ) he was given the all clear and we arrived at Kings on bank holiday Monday (30th??). He is one week in and feeling not too good. He seems to be finding it harder this time. He was in the very lucky position last time that the drugs had put him into remission. This time his mm was up and biting his bum when he went into Kings.
I will catch up with other people's progress within the next few days but for now thank you for listening to my moans Gill xxx
PS What is the correct spelling of illlnesssesss:-)
