Thanks for the good wishes for tomorrow – we have crossed fingers, toes and everthing else!

If the Specialist thinks it´s wise for me to go so far we are thinking of investing in a horse transporter but my husband would have to drive down to Cataluña where our place is and I would have to fly. I did ask if I could go down with him and help but he thinks that would be ever harder as he would spend his time worrying about me getting proper rest breaks etc. Obviously with horses the quicker he can make the journey the better. Fortunately they are ex competition horses so are well used to travel but even so once they are in a box with a hay net it´s better to keep going a while if you can.
Anyway have a lovely break away. Hopefully we shall chat again when you get back.

Sorry to hear you had to join this group 🙁 but its one of the best on line 🙂 as you already know we have a lot of folk in your position and in front so can answer you Q's .

As for me I am a (Young) 56 and am no 18 months post Stem Cell Transplant and doing good 😎

Dont worry about not having treatment for MM the longer without the better, but know how you feel when i was between treatments I wanted to move along faster to get treatment (strange int it ha ha)

Will Catch you on the boards again Later so keep healthy and hope you stay off treatment for years 😎

Thanks for the reply Tom, all you say is quite true , I'm not sorry to join this group ,though I am sorry to get this rotten illness, the people on here seem to be keen to help and I've already got quite a few questions answered.I think you do understand how I feel with the absence of any sort of treatment, worrying and also makes you feel a bit of a fraud with all the people who know about your illness but nothings happening.I mentioned my illness in relation to some thing else to some one the other day and they said "Oh yes if you have really got it" I could have said "Oh yes I've really got it" but would it help. Got a bad cold at the moment and its taking forever to get rid ,now is that due to the Myeloma or am I being paranoid ,who knows. Well thanks again and I do know there are some men ,perhaps we dont talk as much as the girls.:-D Ted.

Yep we are all sorry to have this darned MM and its strange I have gone through a Stem Cell Transplant (december 09) and to look at me I dont have a thing wrong with me I look fit I look healthy and the only treatment I am having is a Zometa Infusion once every four weeks:-S but I know I have got it allbeit just Lurking somewhere in my body waiting to jump up and strike again:-/ But I am ready for it the little blighter aint gonna have it easy:-)

So in the meantime I am going to enjoy my remission for as long as it lasts, Lets hope its for years8-)

And Ted as for the Men not talking as much as the Girl's just ask my wife Ha ha

Aww Thanks Jo (tom blushes again) no not been away since June 🙁 just having a new Kitchen fitted, I asked Elaine (the young bride) if she wanted a kitchen or a week away :-/ and she said Kitchen :::::::::::::::then we will look at a holiday 😀 gosh she is sharp lol.

Where about in Scotland are you going? take no notice of the forcasters (it always rains in Bonny Scotland) you will have a great time.

I missed your post about the kitchen well done you must be very skilled to fit a new one. We are going up the east coast starting in Durham for a couple of nights then on to Edinburgh then to inverness for a couple of nights then down loch Lomond 3 stops on the way down stopping in Carlisle and Tamworth on the way back we have free tickets for Tamworth Castle to see the Saxon Hoard they dug up a couple of years ago and thank you sweet Tom;-) I am doing ok at the moment and thats all we can say isn't it

Oh Oh No Jo I aint fitted the Kitchen, I have a great Joiner who lives next door 😀 I have fitted one in the last house but that was about 30 years ago, and my young bride wont let me handle tools these days in case I mess it up :-S

And you are Correct Jo "Doing Ok at the moment " is all we can say, but hey am ok with that untill my consultant tells me they have that "Cure" and it will come 😎 am sure

Hi All,
I've been off here for a while ,we have had 2 of our grandsons visiting,they are 21 and 23 and live in Cornwall,they have been to Spain and said they would call in on their way home ,we live in Leeds,just like todays kids. We had a great 3 days and had a good time, went to York and to the rail museum, great day out.They have gone back now but we had to pomise to go and see them in Cornwall later in the year.So now I will look in here more often.Whos Micheal Caine.:-) Ted.
