Hi every one ,not been on here for a while ,nothing much to say as things have been very quiet, especially health wise which cant be a bad thing I suppose. I go to the chest clinic next week thats following a scan I had a while back, its just to see if there has been any more damage to the lungs following my bad run with chest infections last winter not much to do with myeloma I hope. We are enjoying this last bit of summer that has come out of the blue, very nice.We have both been helping out at the Elderly Peoples Week, which is all this week its been a bit hectic but very enjoyable as well, last day tomorrow then we shall have to get on with some gardening while the weather lasts.Hope things are going OK with you all. Ted

I am glad that everything seems to be going well for you. Long may it continue. It's great that you are keeping busy. I don't know what part of the world you are in but we have had a very warm day in Orpington Kent.

Hi I'm back again,:-) Not much happening here(Leeds) the weather has changed to blooming awful as usual. I went to the chest clinic Thursday and got some good news my recent CD scan shows no change in the last 5yrs which has got to be good and they are going to put me on a yearly visit ,also he said if I have problems this year as I did last he will be willing to see me,great news as I see it. I also got my 3 monthly appointment for the Myeloma clinic bang on time (Nov 5th) I thought it would be late as cuts seem to be causing problems elsewhere in the NHS.Been very tired these last few days seems to come and go, a few days of afternoon tiredness then a period of being OK again quite weired its not just tired more a feeling of absolute exhaustion then it just goes off after a few hours. We both had our flu jab today it was like a cattle market walk in Hello roll up the sleeve jab and out about 3 mins. Well hope every one is OK. Take care Ted.

    Hi Ted

So glad to hear that things are going good for you. Frank is still not on treatment and he has what he calls "power failures". He will be sitting talking to me – go quiet – he's fast asleep!! After a couple of hours he's back to normal. Know what u mean about the the flu vaccination we went on Thursday and it was like a conveyor belt!!

    Take care

    Hi Ted

When we went for flu vaccinations the doc told us that the new thinking on th pneumonia vac is a lifetime. Given once and that's it. We are in Spain. Frank a bit under the weather and is sleeping. Me – I'm having a cosmopolitan cocktail!! It is just good to get away for a while. Enjoy your holiday. Take care.

    Hi Ted

All best wishes for your appointment next week. I got an extension to three months thids time, but I know how it feels when appointment looms. One good thing is that now I am having Zometa injections I have a blood test each month so can keep an eye on blood results apart from PP.

By the way, yours must be about the longest thread to scroll through! Perhaps you should start a new thread "not so new to site"!!!

    All good wishes.

    Mavis
