    Hello all
Its been a while since my last post but I have moved forward with my treatment.2 cycles of DT PACE put me into a position for me to have my stem cell harvest.I spent 2 days over in Leeds and managed to yield 4.2 so enough for the transplant. This week I am hopefully going into hospital for my SCT,need to phone the ward Tuesday to check bed status. Its taken sometime to reach this point but I am there.
We managed to squeeze 3 nights in a cottage down in north wales which was lovely:-D.I am taking my laptop with me so at some stage will post with a update.
    cheers Paul8-)

Great news that your harvest yielded so many of those little cells, Paul! 🙂

I only managed just over the minimum 2 million when I had mine. 🙁

Will that mean you get half returned now and the other half stored for another go in the distant future?

Wishing you an uneventful procedure and swift recovery.

    Love

    Hi Paul
It might seem like a long time to you,but if you look at the big picture its just a blip,I think you will sail through you are young healthy and fit,but do not forget to listen to your body.

As Debs says its not a walk in the park but it,s do,able.

The hard work will be when you get out, mind over matter, but you will do it Paul,Good luck if you feel like having a moan on your lap top while this is going on,do so,and we will tell you,not to be a silly b-u-g-ge-r,LOL.

its going to be worth that extra time. Eve

    Hi Paul

I haven't posted for a while either, but I am delighted to hear that, at last, you have made it to SCT. I do hope and pray all goes well and that it leads to a very long and healthy remission. Glad you got a break before the treatment.

    All very best wishes.

    Hi Paul,

Like many here I believe that your age, general fitness and most importantly your positivity will help you through the process with room to touch the sides.8-)

4.2 means enough in cold storage for SCT 2 at a later date…. is this what they have planned?

The very best of good fortune and try to stay in touch if you are able.:-)

    Best regards

    Dai.

    Hi all
Thanks for the kind words of support, well it happened yesterday as planned and the smell of sweet corn followed.
I am unsure if there is a second batch in cold storage at this moment in time ,they used 8 bags so I suspect I got it all back but I will ask.I am struggling with internet connection but will up date when I can:-D
    cheers Paul
